a powerful sith artifact remains amongst the ruins of coruscant, it could potentially teach the sith long lost powers from thier sith predeccessors... of coarse the jedi can't allow them to aquire this artifact . it must be destroyed by the jedi lest it tempt jedi to the darkside or lead to empowering the sith

Maybe there is a civil war currently going on in the Republic at this time and then the Sith are alligned with the Alliance of Seperatist Worlds and the Jedi are aligned with the Republic. The Alliance of Seperatist Worlds is performing a surprise attack on the Republic on either Dxun or Coruscant, obviously if it is Coruscant it is a massive effort.
Both Sith and Jedi lead the armies and navies against one another, simultaneously fighting in space and on the ground with a dessignated Sith and Jedi general.

I'll think of some details tomorrow but if it's Dxun it has to have something to do with the tomb of Freedon Nadd and the Madolorians. (obvious but needed pointing out)

Sorry to hear that, Hyot, but that makes it easier for the voting. Your vote is now moot, so that means Coruscant wins. Acheron, Coruscant is rather empty at the moment, so no one wants to conquer it. Archeon, a sith holocron type thingy?

just because it is empty does not make it wortless it is the cornerstone of many great galactic civilizations and at one point was the greatest city ever. So if nothing more it is a symbolic thing.
but still i think this storyline should come into play it would give us reasons to beat the crap out of each other a lot.

Okay people, how's this? A Republic scout has discovered a Sith holocron in the ruins of the Jedi Temple. This information is of course quickly passed on to the Jedi, but the Sith have ears inside the Republic military. The Sith mobilise a strike force, including several Sith lords, to recover this artifact that was long kept from them by the insolent Jedi. The Jedi send an emissary of a few Knights and Padawans to destroy it.The difference in military power is compensated by a watchdog Republic fleet around Coruscant. Escalation is possible, once the two forces discover each other. @archeon: Your sith artifact thingy is in there. Darth Acheron: Your all-out battle for Coruscant is possible. @the other participants, does this work for you?

For example: The Sith Holocron holds the secret history of Kael or me? Only I or Kael knows it and will do everything for it.

Just a post to sign up for the battle, almost forgot!
also Coruscant, according to some of the Star Wars books had massive founderies and workshops within the planets mantle, with the size of the cities above them odds are they survived,or mostly survived, assuch it would make sense from a logistical point to capture them, maybe we could add something to later battles to take account of a victoryas well (on a logistic/millitary level vehicles planes etc)? Give the battle far reaching consiquences?
Lets also not forget that the jedi high council was based at Coruscant and it did represent the hight of power and the power struggles of the Sith, if anything its simple symbolic weight should make it a worthy target.
Finally I'dlike to know a bit more about HOW the battle will run,and rules etc.

For example: The Sith Holocron holds the secret history of Kael or me? Only I or Kael knows it and will do everything for it. A sith Holodron would hold teachings from Sith masters long dead, depending on who were the last keepers of it, it could hold some jedi teachings i spose and been re-used by the sith. But the infomation would hod more than history it would hold teachings and knolledge. It's a good thing for sith to fight over because it offers both powEr and knolledge which is bassicly all jedi/sith fight over, and most of it's teachings would pre-date you and Keal so you may only have an idea of whats on it if you knew who was the ladt keeper. Perhaps a character similar to Palapatines original master who manged to create life using and minipulating the medichlorine. Jedi could want it because they might be able to use it for the light side and the Dark side because they would be able to qwithin in reason cheat death

It could be an interesting story-line even if the Jedi win, maybe they argue about what to do with it.
If this is going to be the story (It should be) who would mobiles their troops and arrive first? The Sith, because they are more aggressive, or the Jedi because they would be more organized?
